Acrylic Roofcoat
Product Description
Acrylic Roofcoat is made from an advanced formulation based on a blend of acrylic resins and pigments. It is designed to go over Marley or similar cement based roof tiles without the need for a primer. Designed to uniform the colour of the roof and improve the overall appearance. Will also bond and seal any minor surface deterioration. The product is very simple to use, applied in one or two coats.
Surface Prepatation
All surfaces must be clean, sound and free from all surface contamination; i.e. dirt or stone chippings etc. Repairs to large cracks, holes etc must be carried out or replaced prior to coating.
Priming
Priming is not required in most situations. If you are coating over bituminous paints/felts, asphalt or GRP surfaces it is advisable to apply one or two coats of Serba Primer No.3 at a rate of 4 to six square meters per litre. This primer will help to prevent staining.
Application
Apply liberally using a brush or roller. At first work the material well in and around the seams and joints using a dabbing motion preferably with a brush. Finally apply the coating either by brush or roller over the remaining area. Coverage rate of 7-9m² per litre per coat depending on porosity of surface.
