QuickSeal

Product Description

Quickseal is made from an advanced formulation based on a blend of acrylic resins reinforced with fibres. Quickseal can be used on most substrates in adverse weather conditions usually without the need for a primer. Designed to waterproof and protect flat and pitch roofs immediately after application. Quickseal is very simple to use, applied in one or two coats.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces must be clean, sound and free from all surface contamination; i.e. dirt or stone chippings etc. Repairs to large cracks, holes etc must be carried out prior to coating. Reinforce these areas by Inlaying Serba Fleximesh into the coating.

Priming

Priming is not required in most situations. If you are using White Quickseal and coating over bituminous paints/felts or asphalt it is advisable to apply one or two coats of Serba Primer No.3 at a rate of 4 to six sq. mtrs per ltr. This primer will help to prevent staining through the white coating.

Application

Apply liberally using a Serba Roof Coating Brush. At first work the material well in and around the leaking areas using a scrubbing motion. Finally smooth the surface to leave a thick liberal covering. Coverage rate of 1kg per sq. mtr on smooth surfaces to 2kg on rough surfaces. Note, large cracks and holes can be reinforced by using Serba Flexi Mesh inlaid into Quickseal before coating over the complete roof/gutter.
