Product Description

M P SEALANT is a multi-purpose ready to use polycarbonate sealant that eliminates most of the difficulties and expense of using various types of sealant for differing application areas. High resistance to ageing, it has an adhesive power on the majority of materials used in building and industry.

Advantages

Adheres to moist non-porous surfaces, has a high resistance to water, detergents and alkalines (stops leaks immediately)
Adheres to any substrate without priming.
May be painted or varnished over, (including exterior wood stains).
UV Resistant.
Adheres to Bitumen, Zinc, PVC, Lead, Steel, Bricks, Mortars, Wood etc.
Can be used internally or externally.
The material will bond to itself, even when cured.
Excellent adhesion, even to smooth surfaces.
Recommended for use on polycarbonate/ plastic sheeting

Application

In particular, repairing of :- Roof Coverings, Water Pipes, Cornices. Sealing of PVC tubes (repair of fortune). Cracks and joints in wood. Old joints filled with polybuten sealant Paramastic.Waterproof joints or glued/stuck roof coverings can also be used as a sealant for slight movement joints (max 10%).
To apply :

Clean out joint, removing debris, dust etc. back to sound base.
Cut off cartridge tip above the threaded end.
Screw on nozzle and cut back at a 45° angle to suit join.
Insert into standard skeleton gun and apply. Note: Release pressure on the gun after applying the sealant.
Smooth over the sealant with water.

Resitance

Serba M P Selant is resistant to Water, Cleaning Agents, Medium Chemicals, Mould, UV for at least 10 years and Rotting for at least 10 years.

Drying Times	Surface skin after 1 min. Water resistant after 30 mins. Complete curing in 2wks.
Cleaning	M.E.K. (Wear Gloves)
Repairing	Use the same product.
Overcoating	Can be overpainted with any standard paints / stains, if in doubt, preliminary test recommended. Please note paints are usually less extensible than the elastomer.
Colours	Clear, Black and Grey
Packaging	310ml tubes packed in boxes of 25.

Limitations

Not recommended for the following:

Areas of heavy mechanical wear.
Heel bead in glazing applications.
Can cause stress-cracking on polyacrylate plates.
Areas of continual excessive movement.
No resistance to non-diluted organic solvents.
Where food is processed or stored, this is due to solvent release. Unless sealant is cured for approx. 2 weeks at room temperature. Cured material is non-toxic.
