  3. Hazards Identification

    Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. Flammable. Harmful by inhalation. May cause sensititsation by inhalation. Contains isocyanates.

  4. First Aid Measures

    General

    In all cases of doubt or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

    Inhalation

    Remove patient to fresh air. Keep warm and at rest. Seek medical advice.

    Ingestion

    Do not induce vomiting because of risk of aspiration into the lungs. If aspiration is suspected obtain immediate medical attention.

    Skin

    Remove contaminated clothing. Wash the skin immediately with soap and water. Do not use solvents to clean skin. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.

    Eyes

    In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice (S26).

  5. Fire Fighting Measures

    Suitable Extinguishing Media

    Foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide.

    Exposure Hazards

    In the event of a fire, may produce toxic vapour and fumes.

    Special Protective Equipment

    Self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing.

  6. Accidental Release Measures

    Ventilate area. Absorb spillage in suitable inert material. Sweep or shovel up spillage and remove to a safe place. Neutralise with water.

  7. Handling and Storage

    Handling

    Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Only use in well ventilated areas. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Do not breathe vapour.

    Storage

    Keep container tightly closed and dry (S7). Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Store between 5-30°C

    Respiratory

    In the absence of exhaust or natural ventilation that maintains atmospheric concentration in accordance with the exposure limits, self contained airline breathing apparatus should be worn.

    Skin

    Chemical proof suit and footwear should be worn.

    Eyes

    Goggles should be worn.

    Hands

    Chemical resistant rubber gloves - change frequently as required.

    Skin

    Repeated skin contact will cause defatting, leading to irritation and dermatitis.

    Eyes

    Severe eye irritant.

    Respiratory

    High concentrations can cause headaches and vomiting. Respiratory sensitisation may occur as a result of long term exposure to isocyanate vapours or short term exposure to excessive vapour concentrations.

  13. Disposal Considerations

    This material and / or its container must be disposed of as hazardous waste. Do not empty into drains (S29). Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or national legislation. Wastes should not be confined.
