Identification of Substance / Preparation
Composition/Information on Ingredients
Chemical characterisation (preparation):
Mixture of vinyl ester, copolymer, polyacryl acid ester in solvent.
Hazards Identification
Critical hazards to man and environment : R11. S16-23 (vapours) 29-23.
First Aid Measures
General
In all cases of doubt or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Inhalation
Remove patient to fresh air. Keep warm and at rest. Seek medical advice.
Ingestion
Do not induce vomiting because of risk of aspiration into the lungs. If aspiration is suspected obtain immediate medical attention.
Skin
Remove contaminated clothing. Wash the skin immediately with soap and water. Do not use solvents to clean skin. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Eyes
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice (S26).
Fire Fighting Measures
Extinguishing Media
Alcohol resistant foam, powder and Co2.
Extinguishing Media which must not be used (for safety reasons)
Strong water jet.
Exposure Hazards
Combustion products are produced including hydrochloric acid gas in the event of a fire.
Accidental Release Measures
Take up mechanically and ensure adequate ventilation. Take up residue adhering to floor with Terraperl or diatomaceous earth and dispose of in accordance with regulations. Keep away from sources of ignition.
Handling and Storage
Handling
Keep away from sources of ignition. Cool endangered containers with a water spray jet. Forms an explosive mixture with air, even in empty uncleaned contatiners.
Storage
Take steps to prevent electrostatic charging. Do not leave containers standing open. Observe explosion protection regulations. Ensure good room ventilation. Vapours are heavier than air and will spread on the floor.
Exposure Controls and Personal Protection
General protection and hygiene measures include washing hands thoroughly before breaks and after work. Use both respiratory and hand protection.
