  3. Hazards Identification

    Flammable (R10). Harmful by inhalation and in contact with skin (R20/22). Irritating to skin (R38).

  4. First Aid Measures

    Inhalation

    Remove patient to fresh air. Keep warm and at rest. Seek medical advice.

    Ingestion

    Seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting because of risk of aspiration into the lungs. If aspiration is suspected obtain immediate medical attention.

    Skin

    Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Do not use solvents to clean skin. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.

    Eyes

    Rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

  5. Fire Fighting Measures

    Vapours are heavier than air and may travel considerable distances to a source of ignition and flashback. May form explosive vapour / air mixture. In case of fire use foam, carbon dioxide or dry agent - never use water. In case of fire do not breathe fumes.

  6. Accidental Release Measures

    Shut off all ignition sources. Ventilate area. Absorb spillage in suitable inert material. Sweep or shovel up spillage and remove to a safe place. Use non-sparking hand tools. Wear protective clothing as per section 8.

  7. Handling and Storage

    Handling

    Do not breathe vapour / fumes. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In use, may form flammable / explosive vapour - air mixture. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

    Storage

    Keep container tightly closed. Store above 5°C. Do not store above 30°C. Keep in highly flammable materials store. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Keep out of reach of children.

    Wear suitable protective clothing including eye / face protection and gloves (plastic or rubber). In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.

    Stable. In use, may form flammable / explosive vapour - air mixture. Incompatible with organic peroxides.

  11. Toxilogical Information

    Harmful by inhalation and in contact with skin. Irritating to skin. Prolonged skin contact will result in defatting of the skin leading to irritation and in some cases, dermatitis. Inhalation of solvent vapours may give rise to nausea, headaches, and dizziness. May result in feeling of intoxication and can cause visual disturbance.

  12. Ecological Information

    Volatile portion is biodegradable. The dried residue is not readily biodegradable.

  13. Disposal Considerations

    This material and / or its container must be disposed of as hazardous waste. Do not empty into drains (S29). Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or national legislation. Wastes should not be confined.
