S R Floorpaint
For Concrete and Wooden Floors
Introduction
S R Floorpaint gives outstanding performance as a protective coating on most types of floor, both internally and externally. It is quick, easy and inexpensive to apply. The modified synthetic rubber resins on which it is based are tough yet flexible and provide a hard wearing surface, resistant to common chemicals and oils. The smooth surface of S R Floorpaint is hygienic and easy to clean and will prevent problems of dusting and staining. It is available in an attractive range of colours which dry to a mid-gloss finish, whilst for that extra showroom shine, an optional clear surface glaze is also available.
Quick-drying S R Floorpaint is recommended to protect garage and factory floors where minimum time is available for shutdown. Floors can be painted quickly and easily over a weekend by unskilled labour and be ready for use on Monday morning.
Typical areas of use
Ideal for use on floors in:
The Weekend Protector
| Friday pm | Preparation, fill and clean |
| Saturday | Apply first coat |
| Sunday | Apply final coat |
| Monday am | Move back in |
Surface Protection
The more thorough the preparation, the better the performance. All surfaces must be dry and thoroughly clean, free from dust, dirt, oils and greases. Concrete floors should be cleaned with Polybond Concrete Cleaner. Existing paintwork should be scraped back to a firm edge and bare areas patch primed prior to the main application. A 'patch' test must be carried out over existing paint to ensure compatibility.
Application
Concrete and other porous floor areas should be coated with a first coat of S R Floorpaint to which 10% Thinners have been added. Metal floors or decking must be primed with either Glopane Universal or Chlorinated Rubber Zinc Phosphate Primer.
S R Floorpaint is ready for use after thoroughly stirring and can be applied by brush, roller, conventional or airless spray methods. For maximum performance, two full bodied coats are recommended. Problem areas that are constantly wet or immersed can be coated with S R Floorpaint - Deck Finishing system to provide the perfect non-slip working environment. Simply sprinkle a fine sharp sand into the first coat of S R Floorpaint whilst it is still wet. Brush away the loose excess before applying the second full bodied coat.
