Episol
Epoxy Floor Repair Kit
Self Levelling Floor Repair Material
General
Episol Epoxy Floor material has been designed to enable contractors and owners of floors to quickly repair holes, indentations and unevenness in surfaces prior to applying floor paints such as Episol Solvent free Epoxy, Quickfloor etc. The product is solvent free almost odourless and quickly chemically cures to a hard dense surface capable of taking traffic and resisting a wide range of chemicals. Repairs will not shrink and it will bond to most floor surfaces. Used in a liquid form the filler will penetrate deep down into cracks forming a permanent bond.
Episol Epoxy Repair Kit can be used on concrete, composite floors, concrete aprons, damaged screeds etc. in fact on any type of horizontal surface in need of repair.
Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be dry and clean free from loose dust, powders, oils, greases and other contamination etc. Where possible roughen back to firm edge with a wire brush or paint scraper. Very porous surfaces should be primed with Quickfloor Clear and left overnight to dry.
Mixing
The Episol Floor Repair Material is supplied in a kit with a balanced pack of Clear solvent free epoxy and Aggregate. Make sure that all the areas to be filled are clean and ready.
Mix the two parts of the Resin together i.e. the BASE and HARDENER thoroughly for at least two minutes, a hand held drill mixer would be useful to ensure a proper dispersion. Then add the aggregate gradually into the mixed resin to the consistency required ensuring total dispersion. The total aggregate pack can be added although this will affect its 'flow' qualities. WARNING Do not allow mixed material to stand for long periods add aggregate and use as soon as possible.
Application
Mixed Packs must be used within 30 minutes.
Pour or trowel onto the area and smooth out with a steel float. Let the product naturally flow and level.
Wait for a minimum 6 hours or overnight before overcoating. It is not essential to overpaint as the resultant finish is highly protective in its own right.

If contact with the skin occurs, remove the epoxy as soon as possible with a 'Keroclense' or 'Rozaklens' skin cleansing cream followed by washing with soap and water.
Do not use solvents for skin cleansing. Eye contamination should be washed out immediately with copious amounts of clean, cold water and medical attention sought. If swallowed, seek medical attention - Do not induce vomiting. Ensure good ventilation during application.
