  1. Substance/Preparation & Company Identification

    1. Chemical Nature: Base: A solution of Xylene, Ethanediol, Liquid Epoxy.
      Hardener: Polyamino resins.

    1. Contains: Mixture of petroleum hydrocarbons and resins.

  4. First Aid Measures

    1. Skin Contact: Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before re-use.
    2. Eye contact: Flush eyes with plenty of cold clean water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical advice.
    3. Inhalation: In case of over exposure to vapours move patient to fresh air, keep him warm. If loss of consciousness occurs, oxygen may be given and immediately seek medical advice.
    4. Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting as aspiration may be caused -Aspiration into the lungs is highly dangerous and may rapidly inflame the lung tissue resulting in pneumonitis. Medical attention should be sought immediately.

  5. Fire Fighting Measures Flammable in liquid form, treat as petroleum.

    3. Exposure Hazards: A potentially explosive mixture at high temperatures Produces obnoxious fumes which are flammable. Do Not inhale combustion products.

  6. Accidental Release Measures

    1. Personal Precautions: Avoid contact with the eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid breathing vapours especially in confined areas.
    2. Environmental Precautions: Do not allow the product to enter the drains.
    3. Methods for Cleaning: Cover and soak up with an inert absorbent material i.e. sawdust or sand, remove to a secure place.

  7. Handling and Storage In accordance with "Flammable Liquids" regulations.

    1. Handling: Avoid inhalation of the material by using a respirator to BS 2091. Provide good ventilation at all times if using indoors. Warn other workers to keep away unless similarly masked. All equipment should be flame proof. Avoid all contact with skin and eyes. Keep containers away from all sources of ignition. If spraying for more than 15 minutes, or using in confined areas always wear airline breathing apparatus equipment to BS 4275.
    2. Storage: In accordance with `Flammable Liquids` regulations. Store in secure containers, clearly labelled well away from any sources of ignition. Ideally lock in a secure, flameproof cabinet. Always keep the Hardener cans with the larger Base cans. Do not separate until use.

    5. Skin Protection: Always keep skin covered use barrier creams on exposed skin. Wash off any contamination immediately.

    1. Waste liquid material must be treated as a fire hazard. Do not allow into drains or watercourses. Absorb onto sand and dispose in accordance with `Deposit of Poisonous Waste Act 1972` and Local Authority Regulations.

  16. Other Information

    The smaller can contains the epoxy Hardener when mixed with the Base component is chemically activated. The above information applies to both components separately and in a mixed form. In storage always keep both components together and clearly marked.
