Polyurethane Undercoat

Product Function

This is a polyurethane modified alkyd based undercoat which is easy to apply and has excellent opacity and flow. The product has very good filling properties, making it the ideal foundation for Polyurethane Finishes and enhancing the intensity of bright reds and yellows as well as some other lighter shades. The product contains no added lead.

Surface preparation and Application

All surfaces must be thoroughly clean and free from contaminants, corrosion and grease. Existing paintwork should be rubbed down. The product is ready for use by application of either brush or roller, if spraying, add 10% universal thinners.

StorageThe recommended temperature is between 10°C- 15°C. It is not considered advisable to store this material outside this temperature or to exceed a storage period of 6 months prior to use

Drying TimesAt an ambient temperature of 20°C - Surface dry : 2-4 hoursHard dry : 16-24 hours Recoatable : 16-24 hoursFull Properties : 7 days Note: The recommended finish may be applied when the undercoat is Hard Dry

ColoursAll colours available to BS 4800 or RAL ranges
