Paint and Varnish Stripper

Description

Paint and Varnish Stripper rapidly softens most paints and varnishes, allowing them to be removed with ease. It can be used on most common surfaces including wood, metal and masonry and does not discolour or damage the substrate. The super strength, non drip formula makes it ideal for use on vertical surfaces such as doors and window frames.

Benefits

Preparation

Always wear protective clothing, eye protection and gloves. Protect furniture, plastic materials and floor coverings to avoid damage from spillage, splashes or removed paint. Ensure there is adequate ventilation when working. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre 1960's paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Application

Warning : Take care when removing cap - hold away from face and skin. Pour into suitable non-plastic container. Apply generously with brush using a dabbing action. Do not use on warm surfaces. Do not brush out. As the surface blisters, work in the stripper. After five minutes, test periodically with a scraper. On old paint or varnish, it may take up to fifteen minutes to fully penetrate the surface. Do not allow to dry out. Remove softened paint or varnish with a scraper. Use a course, stiff brush to remove coating from inaccessible areas. If unwanted coating remains, repeat process. Will strip up to fifteen layers of paint and varnish if used as directed. Replace cap firmly after use. Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning.
