Machinery Enamel

Product Function

A quick drying paint with a full gloss finish for the protection of plant and machinery where good resistance to chemical and other spillages is required. The product is supplied as a single pack and is formulated to withstand prolonged contact with most oils, grease and paraffin.

Priming

Recommended primers are Zinc Phosphate Primer or Etch Primer on mild steel and cast steel. Two Pack Etch Primer on aluminium and stainless steel.

Preparation

The substrate must be thoroughly clean and completely free from contaminants, corrosion and grease.

Application

The product is suitable for brushing, rollering and spraying.

Properties

ColoursAll car/ commercial/ fleet/ B.S/ Ral/ Federal/ European Standards and
Pantone colours can be matched. All other colours can be matched to pattern,
to meet with individual requirements, all levels of sheen can be achieved.
CoverageApproximately 9-10 square metres per litre at 35 microns D.F.T.
SolidsApproximately 52-58% dependent upon colour
S.G.1.0 to 1.3 dependant on colour
Temp. ResistanceUp to 200°C (Some discolouration may occur)
ViscosityApproximately 3.0 poise I.C.I. Cone & Plate at 25°C.
Dry & Wet Film Thickness50 microns wet gives approximately 25 microns D.F.T.
Special PropertiesGood long wet edge/ through dry/ excellent durability & abrasion resistance
