A very versatile wash with detergent properties that permit its use on domestic or industrial sites where biological or fungicidal growth is present. It is supplied as a liquid concentrate which requires dilution with water prior to use. This product is mainly used to treat infected surfaces prior to painting. Fungicidal Wash does not affect the performance of the paint and therefore with the exception of heavily soiled areas, does not require removal. The cleaning action of the product penetrates all crevices providing a satisfactory sterilization of the surface to be coated. In a diluted form, this product is ideal for eradicating mould growth in kitchens and bathrooms, is easy to use and has excellent detergent, antibacterial and fungicidal properties. It is for these reasons that it is an ideal material for regular application in food processing, dairies, breweries and allied industries where legislation covering hygiene is very strict. Once a dilution of 1:1 has been used to initially sterilize and clean, hygienic conditions can be maintained by routine washes of a greater dilution (up to a maximum of 1:9).
Fungicidal Wash should be applied using a brush, sponge or spray equipment. Ordinary garden spray equipment is adequate. All equipment should be thoroughly cleansed after use.
Fungi and Mould Infested Surfaces
Fungicidal Wash should be diluted with water to ratios dependant upon the severity of the growth, 1:1 or 1:3 (Fungicidal Wash : Water) the initial wash will remove apparent growth, the second will ensure a sterile surface.
Dilute Fungicidal Wash with its own volume of water to completely remove algae from brickwork. In addition, the residue this leaves will provide increased protection. Lower concentration may be used for removal, this will of course, increase the total effective treatment time.
Dilute Fungicidal Wash with water to ratios as for fungi and mould, again according to severity. One application will destroy the adhesion of these organisms to the substrate. They are then easily removable by brush or high pressure hose.
Pathways, concrete, stonework and roofing may be quickly cleared with solutions of 1 : 3 with water.
Fungicidal Wash should be diluted with twice its own volume of water to effectively arrest the spread of dry rot across masonry or brickwork. It will not be assistance with infested timber - this should be removed and destroyed.
