Pre-Treatment for Concrete Floors
General
Concrete Cleaner is a material scientifically designed to remove contamination from concrete and all types of building surface. Diluted, it is an excellent cleaner for paintwork and metal work such as copper and brass. It has a rapid action and is ideal for the maintenance of concrete floors where it will remove even heavy deposits of oils, fats and grease.
Concrete Cleaner is the ideal pre-treatment for concrete prior to the application of Quick Floor Epoxy Paints, PVA, Screeds, Floor Paints, Line Paint, Tiles and Sealers. Typical environments in which Concrete Cleaner can be used include Garages, Car Parks, Transport Depots, Airports, Dock Installations, Factories, Dairies, Abattoirs, Farms, Motorway Bridges, Refineries, Power Stations, Breweries, Printing Works and Yacht Clubs etc.
It Cleans Concrete, Stone, Brickwork, Render, Plaster, Granolithic, Terrazzo, Ceramic Tiles, Vinyl Tiles, Lino, Rubber, Wood and Concrete Shuttering etc.
It Removes Oils, Greases, Fats, Efflorescence, Rust, Lime, Blood, Soot and Seaweed etc.
Application
The product is easy to apply and involves no special skills and very little equipment. It is non-flammable and safe in use, provided it is applied in accordance with the following instructions :
- Apply neat Concrete Cleaner and scrub well in with a stiff brush, broom or scrubbing machine (The cleaner can be added to the reservoirs of some machines and applied directly to the floor)
- Stand back and allow the chemical cleaning action to work away all contamination from the surface
- After 2 - 5 minutes, hose or vacuum away thoroughly with clean cold water
- Repeat the above process if the contamination has not been completely removed
- Allow to dry thoroughly before applying paints, sealers, screeds etc.
Splashes on operatives and equipment can be removed with a damp cloth and water. Special care should be taken if using the cleaner in overhead situations to avoid splashes in the eyes. Always wear goggles, gloves and a hat for added protection. Use clean, cold water for diluting and cleaning at all stages. The diluted material is harmless to plant life and can be hosed in a diluted form down drains or on to the land. Scrape away excess dirt and grease from surfaces to save time and material.

Health and Safety
Concrete Cleaner is mildly acidic and should not be allowed to come into contact with the skin for prolonged periods. It is recommended that rubber gloves be worn and the application of barrier creams to hands is advisable. In the case of splashes getting into the eyes, irrigate well with cold water and seek medical advice. Please read the current Product Safety Data Sheet relating to the product before use.
