Acrafloor

Product Function

A tough water based, industrial grade finish dries quickly, wears well, resistant to water. Acrafloor will provide a durable, decorative coating to concrete, composition and asphalt floors. It is quick, easy and inexpensive to apply and once dry, its hard wearing surface prevents problems of dusting and staining. The product is single pack water based and as such creates none of the hazards normally associated with the painting of floors; i.e. it has little or no odour, no fire hazard and can be applied to solvent sensitive surfaces such as asphalt, tarmac and existing sound painted surfaces. These factors allow painting to be carried out quickly without inconvenience to normal work routines. Acrafloor will provide an excellent all weather finish for asphalt and composite tennis courts and play area.

Typical Areas of Use

Acrafloor is ideally suited for application to large areas such as : Where it will tolerate accidental spillage of common chemicals, water, oil and foodstuffs. It will resist most common solvents, spillage of liquids etc. and performs well if immersed in water.

Surface Preparation

Acrafloor should only be applied to sound surfaces in a good general state of repair. The more thorough the preparation, the better the performance. All surfaces should be clean and free from dust, oils and greases. Being water based, the product will tolerate dampness in the floor at the time of application. Any existing paintwork should be sound and scraped back to a firm edge. Potholes, cracks and other significant defects having been previously made good.

Appllication

The system relies on a one or two coat application by brush, roller or spray (depending on the porosity of the surface being coated). The time between coats is dependant on ambient conditions, but should be not less than 6 hours. Failure to observe this time may cause a reduction in performance and decorative finish. Application should be carried out under good drying conditions and care should be taken to ensure no water spillage onto the coating for at least 12 hours after the final coat.
