Acraclad

Product Function

A heavy duty acrylic exterior paint formulated for application to plastisol and polyester surfaces. Acraclad is supplied as a single pack with a semi-gloss / satin finish. It combines chemical and light fast pigments to give high resistance to ultra violet light. Easily applied by spray, brush or roller.

Surface Preparation and Application

Galvanising or aluminium should be prepared by degreasing and the removal of oxidization back to a firm substrate with no powdery deposits. A normal system consists of one coat of epoxy primer followed by two coats of Acraclad. To commence application, all surfaces must be dry. Relative humidity should not exceed 85%. The surface temperature of the steel should remain at least 3°C above the dew point. Dependent upon temperature, the product may be thinned up to 10% using our Universal Thinners. Product can be applied using airless or conventional spray, roller or brush.
