Acid Cat Lacquer

Description

A two pack formulation used to give a very high build, tough, resilient film for applications where durability and quality of finish are paramount. The exceptional flow properties combined with excellent heat and chemical resistance make it suitable for most types of furniture and interior joinery including table tops.

Uses

Acid Cat Lacquers are for use on domestic, reproduction, contract and office furniture. Will comply with BS 6250 (severe use) when applied coat on coat.

Application

Conventional, airless/airmix or HVLP spray equipment can be used. Mix as supplied with Acid Cat 55875 in mix rate 10:1 v/v. Apply coat on coat. Pigmented lacquers should be applied over an A/C primer or base coat.

Flash PointLess than 21°C.
Drying TimesTouch dry in 20 to 30 minutes depending upon drying conditions and film thickness.
Colours / FinishesAny gloss level from 10% to full gloss. Colours can be matched to most recognized colour standards or to customers own pattern.
Shelf LifeUnopened packs have a shelf life of 12 months in original containers.
RecoatAny time after touch dry up to 8 hours.
Pot Life8 hours. After this time, mix with freshly catalysed lacquer.
Curing TimeUp to 30 days at ambient temperature.
Further InformationShould conditions of high temperature or high humidity occur then Thinners can be added. If recoating after 8 hours, avoid application of very heavy coats particularly on horizonal surfaces.
