2 Pack Etch Primer

Product Function

A vinyl based etch primer giving excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates, particularly those regarded as 'difficult' i.e. aluminium, while improving corrosion resistance when used in conjunction with appropriate finishes ie. stoving enamels. The benefits of Two Pack Etch Primer include very fast drying and that it can be overcoated with a variety of primers and finishes

Surface Preparation

All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from surface contamination. Conventional degreasing methods may be employed using Solvent Degreaser, but for maximum efficiency, vapour degreasing is recommended.

Application

Two Pack Etch Primer is recommended for use on mild steel, steel plate, aluminium, stainless steel and Zintec. Apply by conventional spray, allow 'flash off' for 10 to 15 minutes then force dry at 80°C for 10 minutes. Always spray in a warm dry atmosphere as high humidity or cold temperatures may retard drying times and affect adhesion.
