  2. Hazards Identification

    Highly Flammable, harmful by inhalation and in contact with skin, irritant to eyes and skin.

  3. First Aid Measures

    General Inhalation

    Keep affected person away from heat, sparks and flames.

    Inhalation

    Remove victim immediately from source of exposure. Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. When breathing is difficult, properly trained personnel may assist by administering 100% oxygen. Keep the affected person warm and at rest. Seek prompt medical attention.

    Ingestion

    Do not induce vomiting. Never make an unconscious person vomit or drink fluids. Remove victim immediately from source of exposure. Rinse mouth thoroughly. Provide rest, warmth and fresh air. Seek medical attention immediately.

    Skin

    Remove affected person from source of contamination. Remove contaminated clothing. Wash the skin immediately with soap and water. Seek medical attention promptly if symptoms occur after washing.

    Eyes

    Make sure to remove any contact lenses from eyes prior to rinsing. Continue for at least 15 minutes. Contact physician if irritation persists. Get medical attention promptly if symptoms occur after washing.

    Move container from fire area if it can be done without risk. Cool containers exposed to flames with water until well after the fire is out.

    Protective Equipment

    Use approved safety goggles or face shield. Use protective gloves. Wear appropriate clothing to prevent any possibility of liquid contact and repeated or prolonged vapour contact.

    Ventilation

    Provide adequate general and local exhaust ventilation. Must not be handled in confined space without sufficient ventilation.

    Eye Protection

    Wear chemical safety goggles where eye exposure is reasonably probable.

    Other Protection

    Use engineering controls to reduce air contamination or permissible level. Provide eyewash station.

    Respirators

    Hygienic Work Conditions

    Do not smoke in work area. Wash at the end of each work shift and before eating, smoking and using the toilet. Wash promptly with soap and water if skin becomes contaminated.
