    OES: Xylene OES Mixture: LTEL 8 hours - 100ppm (435mg/m³). STEL 10 minutes - 150ppm (650mg/m³)

    Non Hazardous Components: Polyamide resin, organic or inorganic pigments without lead or chrominum.

  3. Hazards Identification

    COSHH Assessment : Maintain adequate ventilation and / or extraction to maintain vapour below OES or respiratory equipment will be required.

    Overexposure Effects

    Skin Contact

    Will defat the skin causing irritation and redness after prolonged or repeated contact. Risk of solvent absorption into the bloodstream.

    Eye Contact

    Irritation.

    Ingestion

    Sore throat and symptoms of inhalation.

    Inhalation

    Excessive quantities may cause headaches and drowsiness. Continued exposure will have a narcotic effect leading eventually to unconciousness.

  4. First Aid Measures

    Inhalation: Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Perform artificial respiration if breathing has stopped. Keep the affected person warm and at rest. Get prompt medical attention.

    Ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly. Do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately.

    Skin: Remove affected person from source of contamination. Promptly wash contaminated skin with soap or mild detergent and water. Promptly remove clothing if soaked through and wash as above. Get medical attention promptly is symptoms occur after washing.

    Eyes: Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eyelids. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.

  5. Fire Fighting Measures

    Heating full containers will cause pressure rise with risk of bursting. Bursting cans can be forcibly ejected from a fire. Cans should be kept cool by using water spray. For liquid fire use Foam or CO2.

  6. Accidental Release Measures

    Packaging limits significant releases. Spills may be contaminated and absorbed in sand or inert material. Minor spills may be allowed to evaporate. Larger releases should be contained for controlled disposal.

  7. Handling and Storage

    Keep containers tightly closed in flammable store. Do not incinerate even when empty. Do not spray on or near a naked flame or incandescent material. Do not smoke, eat or drink whilst handling product. Prevent contact with eyes and skin.

  8. Exposure Controls and Personal Protection

    Use gloves and overalls to prevent contact with skin and eyes. Always ensure good ventilation and avoid inhaling vapours. In areas where OES may be exceeded, a self contained breathing apparatus should be used.

    Product is stable and is not considered to have dangerously reactive properties. Will dissolve some plastics materials. Avoid contact with oxidising agents.

    LD50 (Animal Ingestion) estimated from materials > 200mg/kg.

  12. Ecological Information

    The product does not contain materials considered to have an adverse effect on the environment warranting specific controls. Contamination of land and water courses should be avoided.

    Use licensed contractor for disposal by tipping or incineration.
